Mission and Liturgy are not contradictory: they compliment each other. The Anglo-Catholic movement in the 19th and early 20th centuries were already doing what we today call "Mission" and "Outreach". Read "Glorious Battle" by John Shelton Reid. The difference is they did not forget the blessing that flowed from the Blessed Sacrament to animate their ministry outside the Church walls.Rev.
